Cookie Notice

Effective August 21, 2026

Campatible uses three first-party cookies. The session cookie keeps you signed in. The cg_search_prefs cookie remembers search preferences for logged-out visitors. The campatible_visitor cookie lets us count repeat visits on Campatible. We do not use cookies to track you across other websites, and we do not host marketing pixels.

What we do not use

  • No third-party analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, and similar).
  • No advertising cookies or retargeting pixels.
  • No cross-site tracking of any kind.

Managing the cookies

Signing out invalidates the server-side session associated with the session cookie. The cg_search_prefs cookie is deleted when you log in, after its search preferences are merged into your account or superseded by preferences already saved there. Removing the campatible_visitor cookie gives your browser a new random identifier on its next visit. You can remove any cookie in your browser settings. Blocking all cookies will prevent you from signing in, prevent logged-out search preferences from persisting, and prevent us from recognizing repeat visits.

How we measure the site

We count how the site is used. Our own servers record the page you visited, roughly where in the world the request came from, and what you searched for. The campatible_visitor cookie stores a random UUIDv4 on your device for 12 months so those events can be counted as repeat visits. The cookie is HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax, and available only on Campatible paths. We do not share this identifier with anyone else.

For usage measurement, we apply one strict rule. We never store your IP address. We store the random visitor identifier and retain a one-way fingerprint built from the IP address, browser identifier, and a secret we hold for historical continuity. The fingerprint cannot be turned back into the address. The searches we record are the search terms, not an account profile. Separate operational, session-security, and SMS-consent records may retain an IP address as described in our Privacy Policy.
