SMS Alerts and Messaging Policy

Effective July 20, 2026

The program

Campatible sends automated text alerts about campsite availability to registered users who ask for them. When a campsite you are watching opens up, we text you so you can book it. This is an account notification program. It is not marketing, and it is available in the United States only.

Text alerts are optional. Every alert can be delivered by email instead, and we never enable text messages for an account that has not gone through the opt-in below.

How to opt in

  1. Create a free Campatible account with your email address. No phone number is asked for at signup.
  2. Open Account, then Notifications, then "Text alerts". You can also tap "Get text alerts" on any alert you have set up.
  3. Enter your US mobile number and check the consent box shown below. The box is unchecked by default, and the form cannot be submitted until you check it.
  4. We text you a one-time passcode. Enter it to verify that the number is yours. Alerts begin only after this second step completes.

Consent is recorded on our servers at the moment you check the box and submit the form, together with the exact wording you agreed to. Checking the box is never a condition of buying anything, and it is never pre-checked for you.

What the consent box says

This is the consent control exactly as it appears in the product, including its unchecked default state:

Reply to HELP

Campatible alerts: we text you when a campsite you are watching opens up. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel. Support: hello@campatible.app

Reply to STOP

You have unsubscribed from Campatible alerts. No more messages will be sent. Reply START to resubscribe.

How often we message you

Message frequency varies. We text you only when a campsite you are watching actually opens up, so the number of messages depends on how many alerts you have set up and on how often those campsites free up. Many weeks bring no messages at all. You can pause or delete any alert at any time from your account.

Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply. Campatible does not charge for text messages, but your mobile carrier may, according to your plan.

Stopping messages

Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. You will get one confirmation message and then no further texts. You can also turn text alerts off in your account under Notifications, which stops messages without using a keyword. Replying START resubscribes you.

Getting help

Reply HELP to any message for support information, or email us at hello@campatible.app. We answer every message sent to that address.

Your mobile number

We never sell or share mobile numbers. Mobile opt-in consent is not shared with third parties, and never with anyone for their own marketing. Your number is used to deliver the alerts you asked for and nothing else. We pass it to our messaging provider solely to send those messages. The Privacy Policy covers this in full.

Carrier liability

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and on network conditions, so an alert may arrive late or not at all. Campatible is a notification service, not a booking service, and a text alert is never a reservation.
